Restaurant of the Year - Bacchus Gourmet Dinner 2025

Established in 1999, Bacchus is the oldest gourmet magazine in Bulgaria’s modern history. In 2001, the country’s first national "Restaurant of the Year" award was introduced, marking the beginning of an annual tradition. Over the years, the ceremony has become synonymous with culinary excellence and sophistication, and is eagerly anticipated by gourmands, the press, and Bulgaria’s tourism sector. This year, as the event enters its third decade, it will be celebrated with an exciting theme: "Star Chefs Under Sofia’s Stars."

Restaurant of the Year 2024: Star Chefs Under Sofia’s Stars

2024 was a successful and exciting year for the Bulgarian culinary scene, and this achievement will be celebrated with the next awards ceremony "Restaurant of the Year” by Bacchus on March 27, 2025, in Sofia, Bulgaria, with an entertaining gala dinner, prepared by extraordinary chefs, and in the company of excellent musicians. 

The Search for Bulgaria’s Best Restaurant of 2024

The search for the best restaurant of 2024 is underway, with this year’s evaluation process expanding to include a greater number of establishments, with particular attention to venues beyond the capital city of Bulgaria. A newly appointed panel of judges—comprising esteemed industry professionals and connoisseurs of fine dining—will assess each nominee based on food quality, service, wine selection, and overall experience, maintaining the competition’s exacting standards.

"Restaurant of the Year" 2024 will bring together some of the most distinguished chefs from Bulgaria and Europe, whose distinctive styles—rooted in local heritage, natural ingredients, and modern techniques—will converge to create an extraordinary gastronomic experience.
