Carpigiani - World leader in gelato making machines

Founded in Bologna in 1946 following the success of the "Autogelatiera" by Bruto and Poerio Carlo Carpigiani, Carpigiani has grown to become the global leader in gelato-making machines. Since 1989, it has been part of Ali Group, the world’s second-largest producer and distributor of professional catering equipment.

In 2003, Carpigiani established the Carpigiani Gelato University to promote the culture of artisan gelato worldwide. Today, the university boasts 22 campuses across 20 countries, welcoming 7,000 students annually—over 60% of whom come from outside Italy.

To mark the centenary of Poerio Carlo Carpigiani’s birth in 2012, the Bruto and Poerio Carpigiani Foundation and the Gelato Museum were founded. As the world’s first museum dedicated entirely to the social and technological history of gelato, it attracts approximately 15,000 visitors each year for guided tours, tastings, and workshops.

Gelato Masterclass for JRE-Chefs

Carpigiani organized an exclusive Masterclass program for ten JRE chefs from Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, and the UK. The event provided an immersive experience for the participants.

Carpigiani Gelato University

Carpigiani Gelato University has launched a new web portal dedicated to training for chefs and pastry chefs, perfect for enhancing the menu with gelato and sorbets.
